Toshiba Options & Prices

There are 3 main options for any heat pump installation. They are:

Hi Wall

Advantages - generally easier installation, therefore reducing cost.

Installation cost depends on the length and difficulty of the pipe run. The easiest installation is a 'back to back' configuration. This is definitely the most common type of heat pump installed and the most common installation method. This is generally what you expect to see when 'heat pump' is mentioned.

Floor Console

Advantages - can provide better air circulation. This is especially true when more than one room is to be heated - e.g. a hallway installation to warm the bedroom areas in your home.

Installation of a floor console can be tricky. Once again this is due entirely to the complexity of the pipe run.

Ceiling Cassette

Advantages - very useful when you have limited wall space.

In our opinion this is definitely the best looking heat pump option. The units do cost a little more (see pricing) as there are not as many made, and they all have condensate pumps installed as standard.
